From Kooky Cookie to Apple Blossom, these miniature grocery characters turned collecting, trading, and pretend shopping into a craze.

Apple Blossom. Cheeky Chocolate. Kooky Cookie. Shopkins took ordinary grocery items, made them very tiny, and gave them faces and names. Suddenly a cookie was somebody you wanted in your collection.

Moose Toys introduced Shopkins in 2014. Different characters, finishes, and harder-to-find versions gave collectors plenty to look for. Opening a pack meant checking what you’d gotten, whether you already had it, and where it fit on your personal collection list.

Baskets and shop-themed playsets gave the little groceries somewhere to go. Run a pretend store, sort the figures, trade duplicates, or let an apple have a conversation with a cookie. The shopping didn’t have to be particularly realistic.

Moose’s current Shopkins page says the Shopkins and Shoppies store is closed for now. Older products are still available in retail and online marketplace listings, including the later Shopkins Real Littles packs with miniature branded groceries and characters (note that those are later products rather than the original 2014 collection). If buying used, make sure to check which series it is and which characters and accessories are included.
